What about us?
Background: I starded my professional life as a College professor, teaching Commercial Law and Economics. To finance
my college years, [1961 bachelor degree, major in accounting and Commercial law, minor in mathematics] I worked part-time as a bookkeeper for a
construction Company where I must say, I learned more of the real world of bookkeeping than in the textbooks.
I switched to Accounting for International Companies until Family-life became more important than career. Then to synchronize
my financial needs with my growing young Family, I turned to Self Employment in 1964 as a Bookkeeper-Accountant until retirement in 2001.
The adjustement to retirement was very, very difficult, so I started working during the Tax season for H&R Block and Jackson Hewitt,
but I missed my columns of numbers and the contact with my clients.
My Son Francois, works with me, and he is the " king of the payroll". He worked every weekend with me, since the age of 13 until college. To earn some money,
he started delivering Pizzas for Domino's; where he climbed the ladder to the point of owning his own Franchise. It was a lot of work and he had to sell when
his health deteriorated badly.
We know "small businesses", because my Parents, their Parents, were small business owners [wood industry,construction,retail] andthe only talk around
the dining table was tax and more about tax.
My Children when they were young will say "We don't want to be in business, you are always crying about tax! ......guess " Both of them are in business by themselves...and yes they complain about taxes!
Our rates- due to a low overhead- will be affordable to all. For each and every client we will offer the best quality of services: - efficiency - due diligence - compliance with regulations and datelines - we want to keep your business on the " right track"- - confidentiality - The information you provide us will be used only for the purpose to do your bookkeeping and taxes. There will not be any third party between You and us. All communications - e-mail, phone, fax - will carry a code unique to each of you and must appear in each and every document. So, you will not have to repeat personal information every time- A simple "Bookkeeping and Tax Service Confidentiality agreement" will be signed by both the client and ourselves and will not be transferred to any other companies except at the "in writting request" of the client. A check list of necessary documents will be supplied to you. The documents will be returned to you after use. Each file is backed-up individually on a portable travel-drive which is yours. Let's mention that NO computer stays in the office at night or week-end.
